Description
Keprník (1,423 m) is the second highest peak of the Jeseníky mountains. Unlike the accessible Praděd, Keprník requires a longer hike through the most pristine part of the nature reserve. The upper zone features rare subalpine meadows and rocky terrain. The view from the summit plateau encompasses the entire Jeseníky ridge, with the distinctive Praděd transmitter visible to the west.
Important Information
Nature reserve — strict zone requires keeping to marked trails. No summit infrastructure. Approach from Červenohorské sedlo (1,013 m) or Šerák. Combine with Šerák for a full day traverse. Season: May–October. Winter requires snowshoes/skis.
